Brampton Forklift Instructor Training - For those lift truck operators who would like to become a lift truck instructor it is suggested that they finish a forklift Instructor training certification course. Entry qualifications for the forklift instructor training requires the lift truck operator to have extensive knowledge regarding lift truck machinery and skills driving forklifts. Instructor training normally is held at an equipment sales facility or at the campus of a junior college, community college, or technical or vocational school. Forklift manufacturing companies occasionally provide hands-on, train the trainer, practical courses.

The trainee registers for the course, they will be needed to pay the tuition fee, purchase manuals, books and other course materials, regardless of whether they are being instructed inside a classroom environment or at the facilities of a particular manufacturing company. Program length varies depending on the course. Those participating usually should have satisfactory participation, demonstration, and test scores during the program to qualify for trainer certification.

It is assumed that the trainee taking the instructor program would have past experience operating forklifts. The topics of ethics, teaching techniques, curriculum design and safety issues will be the primary focus during the instructor training course. The program goal is to be able to prepare trainers to be able to design and execute their own forklift training courses.

Some self-study of the machinery and manuals is required. Trainers would be expected to make their own curriculum, which meets regulation guidelines in terms of subjects presented, such as Safety and Operation. For example, the subject of Safety must comprise an understanding of how to identify potential hazards. The topic of Operation consists of instruction regarding instruments and controls, maneuvering ans steering, and connecting and utilizing the fork.
